New! Printmaker Friendly Book Structures
Speaker - Carolyn Qualle
October 20th, 2022
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Members and guests are invited to join artist Carolyn Qualle as she shares about hand held, viewer regulated objects that contain your prints. Beginning with a simple accordion structure and its iteration, these structures can evolve into sculpture, wall hangings or installations. This interactive evening will include a presentation, a display with examples of books she has created as well as local, national and international resources for learning Bookbinding.
Carolyn C. Qualle makes prints as a vehicle for her Artists Books. She has been making
narrative hand bound books since childhood. She has taught visual art to students from 5 years old to post secondary for several decades.

Are you thirsty or overflowing?
Our goal is for these events to bring our community together and share tips and techniques with like minded artists. Please connect with us if you would like to be notified when new events are being posted OR if you have something that might work for a short, casual presentation*.
*Please note: these are not meant to be a mini workshop or hands on experience for participants (they would need to sign waivers for that). It is also not meant to be a full demonstration (i.e. all the steps to etch a copper plate) or other type of presentation requiring a full equipment/material set up. A short demo of a specialized technique is fine and bringing previous projects, sample work or images are encouraged.
Send us your name and preferred email address and you will be added to ou Thirsty Thursday mailing list. You can be removed at any time.
Send a brief email with the idea you have for a short presentation. Programming spots are not guaranteed but all ideas will be considered!
