Reduction Multi-Colour Linocut - Feb. 2nd

Interactive Live Online Demo!

Reduction Multi-Colour Linocut

Tuesday February 2nd 2021

6:30 - 8:30pm

Over Zoom!

In this demonstration, Eveline will teach folks how to achieve fantastic multicoloured results with reduction linocut.

In this technique, you carve and print subsequent layers on top of each other using only one linoblock. The key is registration: making sure the colour layers will land exactly on top of each other. This is a lot easier than you might think!

Eveline will show a range of registration methods from very simple to more advanced techniques for hairline precise registration. She will carve and print examples and explain successful strategies for applying the colours. All printed by hand! This technique can be done at home, the only supplies needed are a piece of linoleum, carving tools, paper and printing inks!
