WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Learn the basics of printmaking using soft carve blocks* and fabric ink to print your own designs and patterns onto textiles! This class is perfect for beginners to learn the secrets of using simple designs and repeated printing to achieve striking results on a variety of textiles. Perfect for printmakers looking to explore new surfaces, up-cyclers, and people who work with fabric looking for a personal twist in their projects. The end results are practical and beautiful mini works of art. This online class is an interactive experience, you will be able to ask questions, get feedback and share some fun moments with other creative people!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Michelle Wiebe is a Cochrane, Alberta based artist focused primarily on painting, printmaking and letterpress. Her work is characterized by simple subject matter rendered with bold colour and line work. Michelle is also a passionate instructor with a deep love for teaching, she makes it her goal that students leave her class with quality work and the confidence to continue building their new skills. She can also be found doing collaborations, demonstrations and commission pieces. She is a member of Alberta Printmakers and the Leighton Artist Centre.

We are limiting our in-person workshops to a maximum of 4 people
You MUST stay home if you are exhibiting ANY of the following signs or symptoms that are not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition: cough, fever, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, sore throat, chills, painful swallowing, runny nose/nasal congestion, feeling unwell/fatigued, have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days, or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.

CANCELLATION POLICYGeneral In-Person Course Cancellation Policy:If you have registered for an in-person class or workshop at A/P but are unable to attend for reasons that are not related to COVID-19*, we require that you notify us as soon as possible, and no later than 7 days before the class or workshop to receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel with 6 days or less notice that is not related to COVID-19 will receive 50% of their registration fee. Once the class or workshop has begun, A/P is unable to issue a refund as we are subject to a minimum enrollment in order to run. If A/P cancels a course due to low enrollment, notice will be given at least 5 days in advance with a full refund issued.COVID-19 In-Person Course Cancellations:*If you have registered for an in-person class or workshop, and any of the following apply at the time of the scheduled course date, you will not be able to attend in accordance with A/P COVID-19 facility entry procedures:
- You are exhibiting or experiencing ANY of the following signs or symptoms that are not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition: cough, fever, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, sore throat, chills, painful swallowing, runny nose/nasal congestion, feeling unwell/fatigued.
- Have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days

If you are unable to attend due to any of the above COVID-19 related reasons, A/P requires notification as soon as possible, as we MUST cancel your attendance. If this unexpected cancellation occurs within 7 days of the program’s start time, an in-person course deferral will be provided for an upcoming in-person course of your choice within a 12 month period from the time of your cancellation.
