WHAT IS FRESHLY PRESSED: STEAMROLLER 2023?

 

This year, A/P will be an official Alberta Culture Days Host Site, providing two events that include free public programming for all ages during the month of September.

One of these events is Freshly Pressed: Steamroller 2023, presented in partnership with RICK RACK Textiles.  

Date: Saturday, September 16, 2023

Time: 11am - 4pm

Location: RICK RACK Textiles | 4704 Manhattan Rd SE, Calgary, AB T2G 4B5

During this free event, the public of all ages will be invited to celebrate and experience the connection between printmaking and textile art on a large scale!  There will be a hands-on fabric printing activity, a window gallery to view local artwork of all kinds, and a spectacular outdoor steamroller printing demonstration!

• Foster new community connections through an inclusive group project and event

• Provide education and experience for both budding and experienced printmakers 

• Highlight printmaking as an accessible art form that the public can directly engage with

• Promoting the importance of art and culture as part of a vibrant community
