Why volunteer with Alberta Printmakers?

A/P recognizes and acknowledges the importance of volunteerism in supporting the non-profit arts sector.  At A/P, volunteers not only contribute to the vitality and sustainability of the organization through the generosity of time, skill, and labour, they are an integral part of the arts and printmaking community.

A/P volunteers contribute in so many ways that suit their skills, interests, and time capacities. Volunteering for A/P can be a great way to support your local community using specialized skills related to printmaking or relevant non-profit leadership, and it can also be a way to learn new skills while getting to know fellow artists, printmakers, and arts enthusiasts.

For example, some of our amazing volunteers joined with the idea of making friends with like minded printmaking enthusiasts and have gone on to learn skills in business administration, marketing, printmaking and more.

A/P strives to provide quality volunteer opportunities that may support mutual learning, support and growth. We understand the commitment that volunteers make toward our growth and success, and we try to acknowledge this in a variety of ways including A/P’s Volunteer Incentive Program.

Please note: In order to provide an equitable distribution of opportunities and redemption rewards to our Member Volunteers, hours expire after 1 year. Hours are accumulated throughout the fiscal year, which can then be redeemed at any time during that or the following fiscal year (A/P’s fiscal year runs from April 1 - March 31).  Hours toward incentives will expire at that time.
