
The Studio at Alberta Printmakers is a self-directed, collaborative printmaking space that accommodates etching and intaglio, stone lithography, relief, monoprinting, collagraphy, and silkscreen printmaking.
How Do I Become a Renter?
All Renters are required to be a current Member of Alberta Printmakers. If you want to renew your membership or become a new member, click here for more information or purchase while paying your Booking Fees.
Renters are also required to be familiar and comfortable with processes they are exploring in the Studio. Specialized equipment may require staff authorization for independent use. If you are unfamiliar with our equipment or want to know more about our specific Studio practices, no problem - contact us and we are more than happy to discuss your thoughts or even book an in person tour.

What Your Rental Includes
Be a part of our thriving creative community! Our studio aims to provide a fun and supportive environment that is fully equipped for your art making!

Renters can book time to work in the studio by the day, weekend, week, month or year.

Monthly and annual renters are granted 24-hour access* to the studio. (Due to Covid19 restrictions, access might be limited to gallery hours.)

General Material Fee covers renter use of common materials like photo emulsion, emulsion remover, hardground and softground, acids,

Our Studio provides high quality green cleaning supplies and rags.
Renters are required to provide their own consumable materials for their projects, please see our Materials for Purchase or Rental page for information on lithography stones, silkscreens, photopolymer and transparency prices.

Perfect for printers who are semi frequent studio renters. Valid for 6 months from the first day of activation, passes must be activated within one year of purchase.

Perfect for printers who are semi frequent studio renters. Valid for 4 months from the first day of activation, passes must be activated within one year of purchase.

*Student and Recent Graduate Discount: Eligible renters must request this rate and show Student ID indicating they are a current student or have graduated within the previous 12 months of rental start date. Student rates apply to those enrolled in high school or post secondary educational programs with student card. Student rates are also applicable for those receiving AISH upon the presentation of benefits card. Please contact us if you have any questions!
New renters must fill out a renter contract and are given a studio safety walkthrough and WHMIS orientation at the beginning of the rental term. It is required that first-time renters come in for the orientation prior to the first day of printing. Rentals and 10 Day Passes are Non-Transferable to other members. Any unactivated Rental time will expire one year from the date of purchase.

Please note, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly rental time must be activated within 90 days of purchase or will be automatically activated at 90 days unless other arrangements are made beforehand. 10 Day Passes are valid for 3 months from activation.

Visitor Update - June 29, 2022:
A/P has updated our visitor guidelines for all in-person visitors.
(1) Masking is not required. Visitors are supported in wearing a mask if they prefer.
To accommodate anyone who visits without their own mask and would like to wear one, A/P has disposable masks available (in both child and adult sizes).
(2) Visitors must not be exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19.
